RIP Steve Jobs (Apple co-founder)

Very sad. Jobs and Woz changed my life ... changed my entire childhood. I do what I do because of the Apple IIe. Still own it. If not for my first Apple, its doubtful I'd have ever gotten into computers as a career.

Once you go Mac, you'll never go back.

I grew up on Mac's back in the 80 and 90's, but moved to Windows in 98 and I doubt I'll go back now. Even those of use that are Windows/Linux/Android users owe a lot to Steve Jobs. If not for the innovation coming out of Apple for the past 30+ years we wouldn't have a lot of the cool non Apple tech that we have today. He pushed others to be better just to compete. This is a sad time for techies everywhere. RIP

Not a techie by any means but way back when, I had the Mac classic on my desk as an educator. Started with word processing and record keeping etc. Moved to football playbook all visual and now smart boards to do interactive student participation etc etc. The world is now at our fingertips. It wasn't just Jobs but everyone who made life more accessible to all and the classroom. Thanks. Now laptop, iPad, Ipod, desktop Macs.......yes they are idiot compatible.

RIP to one of the greatest pitchmen ever, dude could have sold ice to the Eskimos at a 100% profit margin... He was an innovator and an electronics pioneer.

I've have never bought an Apple product for my personal use. I bought MacBooks for both of my kids, and they gave me an iPod shuffle for XMas once.

Ironically, I'm probably going to buy an iPhone next week.

But the impact that Jobs had on the world ranks up there with guys like Thomas Edison and Henry Ford - inventors that actually changed the way people live their everyday lives.

I learned the news last night on my iPad.

I grew up with an Apple IIe and we got an original Mac when it came out. I switched to PC in college - way less expensive and more practical since I needed Excel back in the early 90s. I switched back to Apple last year when we bought a brand new iMac. It's amazing and we will likely never go back to PC for home use. We have 2 iPods, an iPad and an iMac. They are each beautifully elegant devices in their own way. I hope Apple has the capabilities to continue to roll out such products without their innovative leader.

RIP
