A sad day for the Spielman family for losing a loving wife and mother, for all cancer patients for whom she fought for and was a beacon of triumph, and Buckeye Nation whom Stefanie has touched with her story. Thoughts and prayers for Chris, their kids and their family.

I've really admired Stephanie's approach to this disease. Sort of like, "I'll do as much as I can to kill this disease before it kills me." And she did. What a leader. I always thought Chris was a model of courage, but she raised the bar. May they both find peace.

We Love You Spielman Family. Stefanie 1967-2009

I didn't know where to put this or if it has been mentioned, but we lost a dear member of the Buckeye family today. A true warrior and an ambassador for the fight against cancer. Forever we will remember Stefanie and the way she lead the fight against cancer. We Love You Stefanie, We Love you Chris. True Buckeyes unbelievably great human beings. God be with you guys.

Fighting her battle in public and raising awareness (and money) contributed a lot to cancer research at Ohio State, she certainly died after accomplishing a lot and it is unfortunate she wasn't able to beat cancer this final time.
This is certainly worth a visit, the Tribute page on the James Cancer Hospital site Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research

Edit: If you can, please consider a donation to the fund, I only gave $20, but a whole lot og $20 adds up.
