Ricky Williams (official thread)

Then you need to be educated on the relative effects of these substances. Weed is a noxious substance that will have a negative impact, cumulative over time, similar to tobacco.

As for cocaine, a lesson from what the test mice do: they continue to hit the lever for additional dosage, till their little hearts explode.

Never say there is an "irrelevant" difference between marijuana and cocaine.

i'm free to speak that there is an irrelevant difference between the two when the gavel comes down from goodell.

Who are you or anyone to judge how Ricky lives his life?

Just as long as he is happy and takes care of his family, I see no problem with anything he does.
Im not 'judging ricky' or how he lives.. i'll be striahgt i dont give a fuck.. but as stated in my previous post when your dicking over teammates and throwing an organztions money under the bus because you gotta be high its redic.. fuckin a there are other ways to pass even if you do smoke.. im all for bud and legalizing it but as of right now its illegal and thats rickys mistake.. he can live his life however he chooses but stop breaking the fucking law

Morning coffee, second day of discussing Ricky Williams.

I understand the sentimentality regarding "letting the team down," or "throwing away your life," but it seems to imply that Ricky "owes" the Dolphins something. Both parties signed a contract and thus both took risks that the terms of the contract might not be met, or that the benefits of the contract might tip in favor of one side or the other during its course. Business is business.

The fact that you are a fan of the Dolphins may cause you to think that Ricky or the Dolphins owe you something beyond 16 games of football each season... they don't. Years of having the Bengals foisted off on me, against my will, and the antics of Mike Brown have driven home the point that this is strictly a business. The loyalty issues are no deeper than the current market values of players and francises.

You may think of what you would do to be able to make a couple million and not be able to see why Ricky can walk away from it, but Ricky is under no obligation to accept your values regarding lifestyles and purpose of life.

I find myself in the same trap when working with a talented student who doesn't complete assignments. I may be frustrated, but the student has the right to make the choice, just as I have the choice to give out Fs.

Please explain.

Tron is right.

We can choose to do whatever the fuck we want. What we cannot do is choose the consequences of our actions.

Those consequences keep most of us on the straight and narrow even though we have the freedom to choose otherwise on a daily basis.

yea but that's just the thing......he is trying to get back into football as a lifestyle but is too big of a drug addict to get back into the game. they should just ban him because at his point his image is shit and his reputation will never be good enough to be allowed especially for kids looking at some of these players as role models.

Maybe he's being a role model in the sense that you don't have to be a puppet and dance when scociety pulls your strings. Be your own fucking person in life and live how you want to live, not how others think you should.

life can't exist without society. pothead is obviously withdrawn and partaking in consistent illegal behavior.......just what all those kids with NFL jerseys at games wanna see.
