Just as long as he is happy and takes care of his family, I see no problem with anything he does.
So we can't assume he's delinquent, but you can assume he's providing everything his family needs, including as a role model (for the kids who won't be able to live off of a few years of work)?

If he's taken care of his family for good, then why does he keep trying the football route?

Maybe he's being a role model in the sense that you don't have to be a puppet and dance when scociety pulls your strings. Be your own fucking person in life and live how you want to live, not how others think you should.

Maybe the guy just wants to play football.

Yeah, screw the rules of the NFL & law, those who don't are just puppets. Screw all of the coaches and teammates whose careers were jeopardized by his suspensions. He should just do whatever he wants, no matter what commitments he made to them in the past.
Maybe the guy just wants to play football.
But only if he can break the law while doing so.

ok i see your point there. i find the difference between crack and weed to be irrelevant.
Then you need to be educated on the relative effects of these substances. Weed is a noxious substance that will have a negative impact, cumulative over time, similar to tobacco.

As for cocaine, a lesson from what the test mice do: they continue to hit the lever for additional dosage, till their little hearts explode.

Never say there is an "irrelevant" difference between marijuana and cocaine.
