It's worth looking at this once again.

RR's response is tailored specifically because he can be terminated for the above reasons. He's trying to avoid being responsible for a major violation, any intentional violation, and any awareness of somebody on his staff committing a violation.

Thus, according to his response:

- He didn't know his QC coaches were attending 7-on-7s
- He told his QC coaches not to be coaching players, and if they did any of that it was on their own and without his knowledge
- He didn't know his administrative staff went over a year without giving the job descriptions of the QC's to the Office of Compliance
- He had a misunderstanding of any rules that he broke (thus, it wasn't intentional)
- He didn't know the CARA forms weren't submitted for over a year

It makes me wonder if he intentionally didn't have an e-mail account, in order to be able to deny knowledge of things and blame his administrative staff for failures.

Michigan is really doing themselves a disservice by carrying the water for Rrod. This has to be his response, but it doesn't have to be the university's response.

Well in that case, I think we should just take his response a face value so we can move on with our lives. What do you all say?

Well, now that you mention it, the burden of proof is on us to prove he's lying and that's a lot of work so yeah, what the hell I say he's legit.

They'll be all in the termination for cause clause of his contract come December.

Maybe they'll get lucky and he'll get an NFL head coaching job before then.

Wow - a vBet where 10,000-to-1 odds might be realistic. :wink2:

I always enjoy your posts. Why? Well, I guess it is because you are always the optimist. What an example you are to us all. 10,000 to 1. Even this guy you flatter with your optimism! :slappy:

I'm sure the typical Michigan response to all of this is predictable.....but I'll ask for it anyways. Any lurkers to their sites want to fill me in?

We're getting punished for making kids stretch and go to class / This isn't even a real news story / FreeP just made up some stuff because they have a vendetta / Everybody does worse than what we did / We're Michigan
