So will the 3-3-5 stack.

Ah well. That's just one more DB for Beanie to toss aside like a rag doll.

The new defensive coordinator hired at TSUN is Scott Shafer from Western Michigan. According to the article written after his hiring, RR announced that the 3-3-5 stack will not be the defensive alignment used as the base formation for the defense in 2008.

Scott Shafer announced as Michigan defensive coordinator - Michigan Wolverines Sports: News, Blogs, Photos, Audio & Video - MLive.com

Although Rodriguez ran a 3-3-5 defense at West Virginia, Shafer stressed that Michigan will be a multiple-front defense.
"If you're going to (ask) what our objectives are? The one thing we want to do is stop the run, force them to throw the ball on first down, create negative plays on first down ... and get ourselves in position to force them to throw the ball."

Well, after all, he has a point. A game is a game is a game. No reason to get uptight about Ohio State. A game is a game is a game.

The way I see it, if I get my team too hyped up for one game, they might screw up a different one. Look at last year, I told them Pitt was just another game, and then I got a new job with a nice raise, can't go wrong for me.

Yeah, that's a great plan with all the talent they've got in the defensive backfield. :shake: Sometimes I wonder if DickRod has even looked at the roster he's working with. Now if he were prescribing the defensive strategy for playing against the wolverines, he'd be dead on.

Best pair of corners in the B10 = Morgan :slappy: Trent and Boo-boo Cissoko. Duh.

Where have you been, general? :p

I really dont understand the Morgan Trent jokes anymore. He's a solid corner now, Hartline beat him on one play. Manningham tourched Malcolm Jenkins, every corner gets burned.
