Not sure what Hartline play you're talking about, GB15. He was pretty much a non-factor in the last two UM games: 3 for 21 in 06, 1 for 9 last year. I don't blame you for getting peeved, though. This is the worst UM fansite on the web. And so complicated.

Yeah, I'm not even going to acknowledge that horrendous comparison.

Trent being "solid" now, which is a vague term, is a far cry from the caliber of play required for the great/dominating defense that many UM fans are predicting.

He's referencing the first drive, when Hartline torched him deep, and Todd underthrew it badly, leading to a collision, no call and the punter taking the field. Judging Trent on such a remarkably small sample size like that game - especially since Todd threw very little, and very poorly - is pretty weak, which is why his body of work is a much better evaluation tool.

Warren was "burned" more since he was picked on last year due to his inexperience, but that doesn't change the obvious signs that his ability and potential is much higher than the former WR.

Most make some positive plays in between the torchings however.

Now that I've refreshed my memory with OCBF's Trent tutorial, I realize that you meant that Hartline only beating him once is a huge improvement...compared to getting beat by every Buckeye on every play. Hey, progress is relative. My Apologies.

Dick Rod is a fucking asshole slime bag that cheapens the entire Big Ten conference with his sleazy bullshit, go back to the fucking Big East where people don't care if you are a fucking scum bag piece of shit and spare the Big Ten several years of you bringing the whole conference down. Regardless of how many games Michigan wins with Dick Rod at the helm, he still cheapens the entire conference by being such a piece of shit.

Hopefully Michigan isn't quite so desperate for a coach next time around (three, four years maybe?) and then they can get a real coach that shares the values and attitude of the rest of the Big Ten.

This arrogant mother fucker is in for a rude awakening once he gets through a full season of a real conference schedule.

I hope that he gets the shit kicked out of him by the entire Big Ten, and especially Ohio State (of course).

After all the turmoil and barbs tossed Rich Rodriguez's way in the offseason, he's now numb to criticism.

CHICAGO ? Rich Rodriguez described his last seven months as having had "a little bit of drama."
You don't say.
"If I paid a whole lot of attention to a lot of the stuff that was written, it probably would have been a little bit tougher," the embattled new Michigan football coach said yesterday at the Big Ten preseason meetings. "But after awhile, it was like, 'Just stand in line and throw some darts our way.'"
Rodriguez has had plenty of reasons to duck.
West Virginia sued Rodriguez for breaking his contract. He finally reached a settlement July 9 and has agreed to pay his former school $4 million, most of which came out of Michigan's pocket.
Rodriguez drew the wrath of Purdue coach Joe Tiller on signing day when a coveted recruit reneged on an oral commitment and signed with Michigan. A furious Tiller described Rodriguez as a "guy in a wizard hat selling snake oil."

Chicago- Everyone already heard so much about the new guy, so this was the new guy's chance to speak his piece. First-year Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez spent Thursday both clarifying his recent past and attempting to ignore it.
What about finally agreeing to pay off his $4 million buyout to former employer West Virginia after a very public lawsuit that got very personal?
"I'll address it now so we don't have to address it for the next 13, 14 years," Rodriguez said. "I was disappointed in that maybe not all of the things that I thought were truthful had an opportunity to come out. . . . But it's time to get it settled and move on."
