Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

I read on some other sites (nothing credible though) that win or lose, RR is going to be fired after THE GAME.

Doesn't make much sense though. Hiring Harbaugh isn't a guarantee and a new head coach would leave the program in shambles for a few years.

Don't know. Guess we'll see.

Shit I hope you're wrong. The man's just getting his team together!
That's what's wrong with people today, they want results right away.
Just give this man a chance!!:oh:

I wish Tress would have TP take a knee the first three plays just to establish that y'all think you have no problem with the skunkbears. After the three and out, you can score on them and then go for two.

Genius! Man what I would do to see that. I personally hope JT just pours points on them all four quarters and doesn't allow shoelaces to rack up stats in scrub time (which will most likely happen).

I honestly think they would throw RR under the bus if they could get Harbaugh.

I think they only throw RR under the bus if they have already talked to Harbaugh and know he will take the job. I understand that is against the rules, but this is college football where schools find ways around the rules.

It does make for an interesting storyline though. The prodigal son returns home to restore the program to national prominence. I think the University would make Harbaugh an offer he simply couldn't refuse.

Somebody ring up BB73, I think that RR is protected from firing. Unless they have a violation they can cite he gets a bag of money, more than enough to pay off the Mortgage in Morgantown and get a nice double wide in Alabama.

I'm not convinced that Harbaugh is that anxious to leave Stanford, nor do I think UM is so willing to forgive a call out on their academics. Finally, if you think the recession has been hard on Ohio, take a look at Michigan. Now imagine handing RR a bag of money to leave, hand another bag of money to a new coach after just rebuilding the Big Louse and in the face of enormous cuts in state funding for higher ed.

They're in a world of hurt for the next few years is my guess.
