Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

STOP RIGHT THERE!

THERE'S BLUE SKIES AHEAD IF WOLVERINE FANS JUST PULL TOGETHER! I am amazed at what I am seeing in this thread. We're all for Big Ten football, right? Well, for your ill-informed selves, the future of the football is the spread. RichRod is the king of the spread.

TSUN fans need to circle the wagons. It's time to grab the soap and get behind the team. A spread is in your future, Wolverine fans! Don't listen to this nonsense. In ten years, everyone will know that your faith helped create one of the most magnificent transformations in the history of college football.

Govern yourselves accordingly.

Richard Rodriguez is a pretty good offensive coordinator masquerading as a Head Football Coach. Michigan was out of there mind for hiring him in any capacity higher than OC. Now, if they fire Greg Robinson and then in turn allow Rich Rod to again make a decision on a DC...they deserve the bad things that are about to happen to that program. RR has made repeatedly terrible decisions for DCs, and hired an actually decent one (Greg) and then forced him into playing his horeshit 335 scheme.

For these things alone they should fire him, and get back to what they've always been good at. Or they go the way of Notre Dame.

WE DON'T AGREE!

Wolverine fans don't fall for this. Support your coach. It's time for sanity to prevail. Honor the memory of Bill Martin. Protect your beaver!

This message is posted on behalf of the Bill Martin Fan Club at Ohio State.

I think RR is a great fit for Michigan!!!

Now, that's the spirit. Norman Vincent Peale was right! The power of positive thinking. Let's be positive about RichRod. Let's will him to success at TSUN. The kind of success we all hoped he'd have when Bill Martin hired him!

Tom Beaver is right! Just look at that man. You can see that he is being talked to by a higher power. It's a calling, not a job! Let's think good thoughts, Michigan fans! Spot the soap! Get ready for the spread! Help Rich Rod take Wolverine football to a new level!

DickRod announces that he's standing by his man.

http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2010/11/michigan_defensive_coaches_to.html

Rodriguez insisted on Monday that he's sticking with his defensive staff -- led by coordinator Greg Robinson -- and plans to try and spend more time than usual with assistants on that side of the ball.
"I'm not going to be able to wave a magic wand myself and fix some of the issues," Rodriguez said.
.....
"The first thing that was painfully obvious to me after watching the film was that we're just not as fast or as athletic in certain spots as we need to be," Rodriguez said.

However, scUM's AD is apparently not full in anymore when it comes to standing by DickRod:

Athletic director Dave Brandon isn't ready to share his thoughts on the Rodriguez-led program that has won just four of 20 conference games and 13 of 32 overall.
"I'll comment on the state of the program after the season," Brandon said Monday morning. "I know the coaches and the players are working hard to get better."

That might be the weakest endorsement of a coach by an AD as has been given in a long, long time! :wink2:

Richy, buddy, that is the problem in the first place. You have no fucking clue about defense, and forcing a 3-3-5 in a power football conference makes that oh so clear.

Maybe you should let the the guy who actual knows defense coach that side of the ball and get the assisstants he desires rather than sticking him with ones for which you have a hard-on.

Time to man up and say "I don't have a clue about how to fix the defense. Greg, you know have the reigns."

Anyone remember the butter scene from Last Tango in Paris? Think Brandon = Brando and Rich Rod's voice going up an octave. (If you still don't comprende, just google butter scene)

RichRod is done. After the PSU debacle, RR is as good as gone. Even if he beats the Illini and Purdue, he will still be fired. I think you could see it on RR's face during the 4th quarter on Saturday night.

Tsun got torched by a walk-on QB making his first start. Penn State is terrible and tsun made them look special.

You can be assured that Brandon has begun his search for a new HC and RR will be fired at season's end. It's not even speculation anymore. Sadly, the Bill Martin era is coming to a close.

Honey, I Shrunk the Double Wide!

Still owes WVU 2M and suddenly he's going to lose that fat UM payday. Try getting a foreclosure in this tea party driven political clime.

You speak truth. I can't turn a phrase eloquently enough to otherwise say that this guy is fucked.
