His hiring and its aftermath, including their conflicting accounts of events, must be an absolute horror story for her. Weren't there issues about perjury or something about that?

My guess is that she loathes him, his effect on the image of the "Harvard of the Midwest", and would very much like to see the NCAA find an infraction because that would be a lesser evil than keeping him around.

If they do have to undertake another coach search in a year or two, I think they're going to do more than look at the 'big name' guys, even the up and coming FBS coaches. I'm frankly surprised that they didn't find a solid lower division coach that was a 'M*chigan Man' through and through and go with him. I think Geiger did a brilliant job of hiring Tressel and I'm surprised more schools looking for a new head coach don't scour lower division schools for their next coach...

I've thought about that too... Perhaps finding that diamond in the rough is like finding the needle in the haystack :wink:

Good article! I wonder what transfers we will see this winter (Tater Salad? Shoelaces? Both of them? Others), how recruiting will be affected, and what happens next season with the scUMmers.
