Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

I'm liking this RR hire more and more. Let's add up what we've go so far:

An uncouth hillbilly with hairplugs, a penchant for bad suits and a classless wife who could give Belotti's a run for her money.

A coach known for choking

A coach known for bringing kids with criminal records in high school onto campus

Somebody who's now trying to weasel and sue his way out of his contractual buyout.

Somebody who has his buddy (a big donor) publicly trashing WVU in order to make his actions look good and justified--resulting in a release from the chairman of the wvu board essentially saying that RR was a scumbag and that the board backs the AD and Prez fully.

Someone who lied to his bosses and said he was going to Toledo for financial advice.

Are you fuckin' serious? Classless wife? Who the hell are you to throw around accusations like that? Based on one over-posted picture of her wearing too much makeup, you've concluded that she's on the level of someone who assaulted a reporter?

I know where I am, so I haven't bothered jumping to RR's defense on every little this-and-that dig I've seen, but you haven't met the lady, you just see one picture and you conclude "classless." Not to mention you hear the guy say "ain't" and conclude he's an uncouth hillbilly. Real classy.

I pretty much ignored the rest of what you said because it's obvious to me - if you can draw the conclusion that Rita Rodriguez is a classless bitch on the level of a woman who damn near assaulted someone, based on one picture, well.....seems to me you're more intent on actively looking for ways to trash the man, and look at everything in the worst light possible. That's not even the scarlet goggles viewpoint, that's just low.

W. Va. town removes Rich Rodriguez signs

GRANT TOWN, W.Va. ? It's nothing personal, coach. But the signs proclaiming this community as the hometown of soon-to-be-former West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez have come down.
Less than 24 hours after Rodriguez announced he was leaving WVU to take a job as Michigan's new football coach, Mayor Robert Riggs ordered two signs taken down that proclaim Grant Town ? population 650 ? as the "Home of WVU Head Football Coach Rich Rodriguez."

Financial advice from Toledo? Isn't that like going to New Delhi to meet the Pope?

I have it on several good authorities that UM told Martin that "price was no object when seeking Les Miles. I would assume that that also included Schianno and now Dickwad... this would suggest that that go ahead did not include permission to buy out contracts... which would suggest the real reason Miles is still in Red Stick and Schiano sleeps with Tony Soprano.
