Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

Rodriguez has a fan in Leach

Former quarterback points out coach wasn't exactly stocked with standouts on first team.

Angelique S. Chengelis / The Detroit News

Former Michigan quarterback Rick Leach, saying he had "no agenda" except that he wanted to show his love and support of Michigan, was on WTKA 1050 out of Ann Arbor on Tuesday morning.
Leach discussed a number of Michigan football-related topics, including Rich Rodriguez, Lloyd Carr and the state of the program.
Leach was very visible at Schembechler Hall during the past season under Rodriguez, and last week at the annual banquet, Rodriguez jokingly referred to Leach as his "agent." Excerpts from Tuesday's interview:

Cont...
On former U-M lineman Justin Boren, who transferred to Ohio State and was critical of Rodriguez and his staff: "My own personal feelings -- if you don't like it here, and you don't want to be here, then move on. Because if Rich Rodriguez and his staff are too tough for you, if you don't like the way they raise their voices and, oh yes, maybe even now and then they cuss at you, guess what? Bo Schembechler did, Gary Moeller and I believe Lloyd Carr might have done that every now and then. If that's your issue, then move on."
"As far as the captains, I agree totally (with Rodriguez). I see the value of captains everywhere I've been. But Rich Rodriguez put together a group in the summer called 'the apostles.' He had eight seniors, six juniors, four sophomores. That's 18, I believe. That to me is 18 captains. Those are the leaders he wanted to make decisions, so that's a non-issue."

That may be a solid approach - but 18 is too many. More than 11 and somebody is going to sell you out.

I don't want to step on your toes, but I feel the need to make my own contribution to this thread, so I'm starting my own tradition.

What a dick.

Awesome. I'll imagine it in the Spicoli voice.

BTW I do love how Leach starts off with "I don't have an agenda..."

...and then proceeds to throw everyone else under the bus.

Remember a few years ago when various people associated with ND's program would make similar statements of support?

It will be fun in a few years to point and laugh at Rich Leach for being a spineless sell out.

Of course considering that whore gave birth to him, what more can you expect?

Yo, Ricky... Ray Griffin says hi.

When TSUN says 'little brother', that's what I think of.

But as to 1975 and Leach, what would you expect?

And more importantly:

Every rookie coach at Michigan since Fritz Crisler in 1938 has won The Game, [2008 revision]unless his name is DickRod.[/2008 revision]

hmmmm... the consensus is that boren couldn't handle how tough dick rod was on him so he transfered. he then goes on to say dick rod is just as tough as guys like bo, moeller, and... carr.

but wait... wasn't boren a standout olineman and starter under.. carr...? *ponders*

isn't it best to not contradict yourself in back to back sentences during an interview? i thought the idea was to atleast space it out 3 or 4 sentences?

Seeing as how an article recently from the Mansfield Journal mentioned what a beast Boren is in the weightroom, I'm completely sure it was Boren being a wimp.

Rodriguez needs to gobble a dick and shut the fuck up, and old Michigan fans should keep their damn mouths shut. If we got DickRod, Saban, Petrino, or any of the other ninth circle coaches, I sure as hell don't think Archie would support immature behavior like this.
