Rich Rodriguez (official thread of last laughs)

When you have to start by putting down the IQ of people questioning your position on an argument, you just lost your argument.

When your position then gets blown the [censored] up when your team (and coach) can barely make a bowl game going 6-6 or 7-5 in his THIRD year as head coach and has 2 1/2 recruiting classes under his belt, that douche will go down in blogging infamy as the biggest moron that ever walked the earth.

I love how he made such a big deal out of their recruiting classes they are likely to go higher when Rich Rod shows he A) belittles his players to the point where they transfer out, B) can't control his own players on the sideline against their biggest rival in front of a national TV audience, C) can't muster a winning record with a style of offense too complicated for the knuckleheads he's recruiting and a defense that flat-out doesn't work against Big Ten teams, D) can't put together a decent effort, let alone a win, against Ohio State for his entire TSUN coaching career, and E) can't bring TSUN back to their former prominance and prestige in the college football world (see Nebraska, Notre Dame, Washington, etc). That's just wishful thinking on his part.

I love how he never mentioned the rediculous amount of transfers, former verbally committed QBs leaving for the greener pastures of Penn State and... Tulsa, or that Rich Rod's situation is starting to mirror Notre Dame and Coach Weis' eventual demise over the past 2 years.

...and he has 70's pornstar hair.

and he discusses "trading schematic schemes over the internet, or whatever young kids do now" during an interview in which he was asked about dating. He also recommends steak houses on first dates so your lady friend is forced to eat and can't avoid stuffing her face in front of you. Also coffee shops after the date are a good idea so you can always reference a weird person you see in discussion. Mike Leach is the MAN!!!!

CFN ranks the performance of the rookie head coaches in the FBS.

RichRod comes in at number 18. As far as where that places him, there were less than 19 rookie head coaches in 2008. :wink2:

cfn

18. Rich Rodriguez, Michigan - A dip was expected, yes, but this? Totally unacceptable. Beyond the culture shock that came with a new staff and a new offense, Wolverine fans were forced to endure a 3-9 disaster, the worst campaign in the school's storied history. It was under Rodriguez's watch that Michigan squandered long winning streaks versus Michigan State, Penn State, and the Mid-American Conference, and went without a bowl game for the first time since 1974. It all adds up to a sense of desperation to win more games in 2009 and cultivate the right mix of talent to run the spread offense in Ann Arbor.

but I thought this was to be expected? He got off to a poor start at podunk U and WVU in his career before unleashing the domination. I'm told by the scUM faithful he's got the rest of CFB right where he wants them.
