Meanwhile in Clemson, the Tigers hosted 3,000 women in a "Dancing with the Tigers" event.
What raised eyebrows (and concerns from administration) was strip teases the players performed to women who attended.

Members of the Clemson Tigers college football team are pictured dressed in their underwear or rolled-up shorts, and a video shows star defensive lineman Christian Wilkins performing a striptease around a seated woman.

In the video, Wilkins guides one of the 3,000-plus participants in the event to a seat on the floor of Littlejohn Coliseum, as a crowd of women look on in the background at an event where the university invited female fans to participate in drills, meet coaches and players.

While holding her hand, Wilkins guides the woman to a seat, which she takes with dramatic flair. As Wilkins circles the woman a number of times, she playfully reaches for him.

The shameful comparison by Swinney goes far beyond a mistake. It shows an incredible lack of knowledge on a topic that many feel is the darkest day in this country’s history. Through that lens, it’s easy to understand a person who now views Swinney differently.

to be sure, the y'all-qaeda faction down in south carolina loves the blurb. it's just too bad that he didn't end the comment by saying, "and if i get caught in alabama, i'm going to abort the mission like it's a fetus." now that would be an equal opportunity quote.

Yeah really

If he would have made some kind of joke about his popularity in Alabama hitting a wall harder than Dale Ernhardt they would be rioting down there by now.
