Replacing bread with fried chicken?

After all is said and done, I would definitely recommend the sandwich. The $4.99 price tag for the sandwich alone is a little pricey in my opinion. I got the original recipe, but they also offer the grilled version.

I'll probably wait for a coupon to come out before I buy another because I don't like spending $7.60 on a meal and still be hungry.
$4.99??? Ouch.

Just finished one, this isn't a sandwich, it's a [censored]ing religious experience.
On second thought, $4.99 sure beats the hell out of 10%.

Decisions, decisions. Hmmm....

Just tried this and the only thing it is missing:

Two pieces of bread.

Highly forgettable.

I agree. I was so excited for this. Got one the first day and the only thing I could think of the whole time I was eating it was this how good it would taste on a roll or bun. I have not been back for another.

When will someone invent a PBJ sammich with peanut butter in place of the bread?

Done.

I was planning on the original, but wound up getting the grilled so I could allow myself a little trans fat from a 3-pc chicken strip, which I ordered in case the Double Down wasn't enough to sate me. It was a good dinner overall (45g fat, 15g carbs, 94g protein), the bacon on the DD was way overcooked though. I'm guessing it arrives at the franchises precooked and they nuke it.

I haven't tried the grilled, I got the regular double down a second time last weekend, and it wasn't as good as the first time, which really saddens me :(

I am impressed you've eaten two and haven't died in the parking lot of a heart attack. Every news organization in the country tried warning us about the Double Down! :roll2:
