Saints' Bush has knee surgery
NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints have confirmed that running back Reggie Bush had surgery on his left knee, and will require months of rehabilitation.
However, Bush is expected to be ready for minicamp in June.
Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Bush had a microfracture procedure performed on his left knee after he was placed on injured reserve in mid-December, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Loomis said the surgery was not a "major" procedure, according to the report.

Bush accused of fumbling scholarship promise
08:11 AM ET 02.06 | New Orleans Saints running back is at the center of a college scholarship issue with his name attached. In March 2007, Helix High School seniors Brandon Fountain and Matt Cobb were presented a $10,000 scholarship from Bush to use for college. Fountain attends Cuyamaca College, and Cobb entered San Diego State University. Each received a $2,500 installment on their scholarships in their freshman year. Both ran into problems the following year when trying to contact the scholarship's trustee, Jerry Michaels. It was the same story for Cobb, and after weeks of wondering they received an answer they were not expecting. "That's when we were told he was out of funds and due to the economy he didn't have the money," said Cobb.

JaMarcus Russell cut by Raiders; Is he biggest draft bust ever?
By Chris Chase
...
Tony Mandarich, Reggie Bush and, to a degree, Michael Vick are different cases. They were each going to revolutionize the league but failed to have nearly as much impact as anticipated. They are the true busts. JaMarcus Russell merely lived down to expectations.
