Again with all due respect to OSU's defense, I believe there isn't a defense in the conference that can bottle up Illinois' attack for a full 60. Their rushing attack is top-5 in the country.
Hail, you and the SN guy appear to know equally little about football.
"Illinois will score on anyone in the Big Ten" Really? What does that mean - 3 points is "scoring". Purdue "scored" on us. Big Deal.
What does 'bottle up" mean? Less than 100 yards? Less than 150 yards?
Hell, they sure as hell can't pass very effectively, so they had better be able to run for at least 200 if they think thy're going to beat us. Are you saying they will run for that much with their option game?
Have you seen our defense? have you seen ANY perimeter shit working against our D? We have the best sideline-to-sideline speed in the Big Ten by a wide margin, and I guarantee you that we will force IL to have to throw the ball - and they won't like it.
WI's defense is S-L-O-W. They have a bunch of Chris Grahams our there who can't get to the corner in time. Their DE's couldn't read the option worth a damn either. We will continually force "Juice" to pitch the ball and then string the RB out to the sideline. It will look like a series of replays of the same play over an over. They may move the ball for a series or two early, then you can forget about it after the first 20 minutes.
Ask Joe Tiller what he thinks IL's chances are trying to beat us outside with the option.
I am more concerned about Wisky's running game powering north and south and spreading the field north and south than any perimeter-based offense.
