Reds tidbits 2016 (Sponge Bob Tight Canadian Pants)

Another bad trade. Got maybe 22 cents on the dollar like the Frazier deal.

I know Bruce has been polarizing and frustrating, but still, he hit the 7th most homers in franchise history and his explosive first couple weeks on the team were pretty fun. Wish him well on the Metropolitans.

I can't even make fun of these assholes anymore. I'm just done.

I'm cool if Bob Castellini and his front office fly off the Brent Spence bridge and drown in the next week. FUCK YOU ALL!!!!

I wanted to see Schebler earlier in the season so it's nice Bruce is out of the way there. Pretty decent young outfield with Schebler, Hamilton and Duvall out there. Maybe the Reds can package about 8 of the total suck prospects they've gotten in recent trades for one good one? :slappy: Haha, shit that even made me laugh.

My son is having a hard time falling asleep lately......so the only things I can watch are sports bc we need the sound to be off. Last night it was the Reds turn to try to put us to sleep.

I just don't understand how the manager thinks pinch hitting for the starter (whose name I already forgot) in that situation was a good idea. Maybe if you had a normal or even kinda bad bullpen. But this is a historically bad bullpen. How do you weigh the 100% certainty that whatever limp dick you pull off the bullpen heap is going to give up a HR with the fact that any pinch hitter by definition is somebody who isn't good enough to be a starter on this shitty Reds team, and come to the conclusion that it's better to pull the pitcher there and hope for a hit from the PH?

And what happens? FIRST. FUCKING. PITCH. The very first pitch from the schmuck out of the pen is deposited into the seats. Cardinals take the lead. I think it was the guys 8th HR of the season. Just fucking turn around and throw it into the seats next time. Then Duvall (I think) finds a way to get back into the lead and the bullpen is like "Hey wait a minute. That's not how we do shit around here". HR, out, HR. I saw some stat earlier in the week that said the Reds pen has given up 70 HRs.....the next closest team had 53. FIFTY FUCKING THREE. They've gotta be over 80 now, right?

Fans like to think they know more than coaches all the time. But every time I've watched something in what seems like slow motion where I'm like "hey.......uh, this is really not a smart decision you probably shouldn't do this BOOOM"....it's the Reds. Every time.

"8/3/89: Reds score 14 runs on 16 hits in 1st inning vs. Astros. Schottzie then takes a shit on the pitcher's mound."

And other than a few sprinkles, they've had shit on the mound ever since. :sick1:
