For bonus fun go to FG and look at which team throws the most (3rd most actually) fastballs and which team has the worst fastball pitch value (by more than double the second worst) in baseball. I bet you'll never guess which team it is.

Starters are 15th in ERA but have the 4th fewest IP of any staff in baseball

Team Defense, by FG defensive WAR, is middle of the road at 1.4 which is 13th in MLB

Offense has the 2nd lowest OBP in baseball and 4th lowest wRC+. They have, to date, actually scored enough runs to be 19th in that category but peripherals scream that it can't possibly last.

When the Cleveland Spiders went 20-134, their team ERA was 6.37 :slappy:

I think you all are being a little unfair on the blown saves. I mean, if you count Losses in relief, they are all the way up to 11. Pretty awesome when your save opportunities = your losses in relief I think.

All joking aside, I have long been of the belief that a system of tiered ticket, parking and concession prices tied to a rolling 3 year winning % is the way to keep owners honest about putting a garbage product on the field.

Or better yet, keeping owners honest about employing a front office that cannot put a consistent winner on the field. Maybe you add a FO bonus/penalty plan where the annual salaries are bonused/dinged by the same % the team finishes above/below .500?

The clowns in charge right now would be staring a 10% clawback in the face this year fresh off the past 2 in a row.

One would think a "Win or find something else you are better at" mentality would take hold eventually.

I was trying to find video of the Borbon biting the hat fight, as I don't remember it myself, but always heard about it growing up and I thought it would be a good one to post after that Rangers/Jays fight. I think this was the start of it and Borbon comes in and gets it all going again at the end, but it cuts off before the bite.
