Does it matter? It's just a move to free up space to pay Latos next year (on behalf of the team he gets traded to) for some power.

Homer has not progressed through rehab and rest so will have surgery to repair torn tendon in his forearm tomorrow. Reds expect him to make a full recovery and be ready for spring training. He is not flying to see Dr Andrews but instead will have the surgery in Cincinnati with Dr K.

Thanks to this thread, I don't need nor want to watch baseball anymore (maybe the postseason). The entertainment is endless in here, unlike baseball. Now if only we can get this kind of eternal pessimism in the Bengals thread.

At least Homer threw two no hitters along the way, so he's really raised the bar around the clubhouse for accomplishments on the resume between getting paid and getting fat.

Ya know, I was bitter and even angry about the money the Reds spent on Votto and this year, Homer. But, I'm looking at it from their perspective more and I don't blame the players at all. They are bound to be cripples the rest of their lives once they get their big payday so if they're willing to give that up, then more power to them.
