Its like getting drafted by the Browns or Bengals.

You sign the big contract with the Reds and your career is over.

You get to keep the money though. Which is nice.

I went to the Reds game tonight. My first one all year. I've been boycotting them for being shitty, but my father-in-law came through with free Champions Club tickets so I felt compelled to go. I sat inside and ate free hot dogs from the buffet the entire time, because that's less pathetic than watching the Reds try to play baseball. I didn't watch a single pitch, so I had a great time. I assume they lost because they suck.

Well yeah, of course they're going to kick ass now that they're mathematically eliminated. In fact, they'll probably go .800 from here on out which will give Walt the conviction that everything would've been OK if they'd just stayed healthy in July & August. And with that reassurance, he won't make one gotdamned change to the roster in the winter.
