Fucking shit. I guess now I'm going to tonight's game. I had been boycotting GABP since the extra innings debacle in Philly, but a couple free tickets behind the Reds' dugout broke my will. Looks like it's going to be three hours of having my intelligence insulted and anger stoked watching these bums sleepwalk their way to getting their teeth kicked in.

lol theyve lost 2 in a row so they are due to have a game where they score 8+ and the guys at redszone will crow that the offense isnt the problem

I just saw that too. WTF? Why does Edwin Jackson keep getting high trade value? The guy is a 4+ ERA pitcher with a 1.50 WHIP. Of course he is the next Cy Young in St. Louis, but I don't get this trade unless all those Rasmus rumors were true. This does not make much sense for the Cards future. At least we get to see Patterson back in the NL Central.

I suppose they get a little better in the bullpen, but those guys are not world beaters.

They have Theriot AND Patterson now. They're trying to turn themselves into the Cubs. :lol: I bet their GM knows exactly what Hee Seop Choi is up to right now.

Oh, and the Rasmus part is funny too. Apparently the Blue Jays are Tony LaRussa's version of the Gulag.

Well, the Reds have 4 days to trade Hernandez. As far as rentals go, a catcher with his numbers should be able to fetch a prospect who is projected as major leaguer. Heck, the Braves may now be interested. Not only could he play for McCann while he is on the DL and spell him from time to time after he comes off the DL, but could play first vs. left handers (Sloth, aka Freddie Freeman, struggles vs. lefties).

The Reds have no designs on offering arbitration, so now is the time to get something for him and bring up Mesaraco. I just hope that once he is called up the taint of Dusty does not stick with him the rest of his career.
