Reds Tidbits (2011 Season)

They still lead the NL in runs scored. Someone is hitting something sometime.

Win one game 11-2, then lose the next two 4-3 and 2-1.....they score in spurts when they're going right, but look completely lost when they aren't.

Playing in a bandbox helps helps that stat, too...

The situational hitting has sucked at mind blowing proportions, he's right but i don't think you make one trade and fix that. That is more of a luck/team mental voodoo thing.

The offense can be improved there is no doubt but going forward the clubs biggest need is top of the rotation starting pitching. In a 5-7 game series Philly, ATL, SF, and even StL and Milwaukee run a rotation out there significantly better than anything the Reds can do. This year you can obviously add the Pirates to that list though time will tell if it can hold up.

The really big problem is currently Chapman converting to a starter and then becoming an ace very quickly (like next year) is the only hope this current window of talent (Votto, Phillips, Rolen) has of ever being paired with true TOR talent unless they make a significant trade. Chapman gives me about 1% confidence he can do that.

These guys are just gutless.

"Clutch" is really juts mental toughness in my book, performing under pressure. The balls to compete when its on the line.

This collection of fruits and nuts don't have a shred of manhood in them. Fucking mo's.

The 'tards are supposedly looking at Shields from Tampa.

No idea what he would cost but he's just now hitting age 29/30 so he could be coming into his prime. The past 2 years were a little rough so it could be a case of buying a little lower. SOB eats innings like Charlie Weis hits a buffet.

Not sure he's an ace but he's as good or better than anyone we have and he's relatively young and cheap.

Depends on the price but if its reasonable I'd be happy to have him.
