When it comes down to it, I'll stick with Woody's advice. You win with people.
Stats are great for determining who should be in the Hall of Fame or who gets personal accolades. When it comes to winning a game, not the entire season, but a game, I'll go with the dominant pitcher over an offense thats above their norm.
Been doing it for over 3 years consistently now and paying my bills with that strategy. Thats not 100 years of stats but its well above .500 in the W column.
