Reds Tidbits (2011 Season)

How many popups can you have in one game? Tells me their approach at the plate is awful and they are off balance. Terrible for professionals to keep doing this same crap, especially against pitchers who arent the cream of the crop.

The real kick in the nuts will be the Reds brass will think that Guthrie's good because of their own inept hitters performance against him and will overpay then sign the fucking average at best motherfucker to a LTC.

Watch

P.S.
Man was I wrong about Arrendondo. I really thought he would be as good as he was with Anaheim. What the fuck was I on? Players don't come to Cincinnati and get better. You'd think I'd know this by now.

Sumbitch. Looking back the HR Lee hit was actually a ball inside. Blame alot of that on Price and Hernandez for not keeping Homer on the scouting report and pitching him outside. Reynolds was a great swing by him. Chapmans HR was a lucky shot by that douchebag.

You cant walk batters and you sure as hell cant throw the ball to the backstop and continue to keep the runs down. 5 runs by the Reds is actually above average even though they should have had 10. 14 or 15 runners LOB?!? Fucking atrocious.

Not getting easier dumbasses. This was the series to win with what we have coming up. Praying for an intervention now.

Lee's always been an average player who always finds a way to hit above average against the Reds. Even when he was with the Cubs... He tore them up.

Wow. Very pleased by tonights game. Well done Redlegs. Leake was awesome with his location and the Reds bats were going all night long. I expected the Rays to really give us some fits.

Tomorrow nights outlook is worse than tonight though so glad we played well tonight. Price is going to be brutal tomorrow night.

Bet the Under tomorrow night. Cueto should be able to hold them to 3 or less and Price might just throw a CG. Under 7 all day.

From what I've seen in Price, he isn't as commanding as he was last season. Maybe he's working on his consistency, but I really like Cueto's chances to pick up the W with TB's lack of scoring efficiency.

But he's pitching against the Reds, on the road, and he's a lefty.

This is not the Reds of 3 or 4 years ago where lefties kill them. The entire lineup is pretty much right handed outside of Votto and Bruce. Votto is essentially the best left handed hitter vs. lefty pitchers in the game. Bruce has been pretty good for the most part. The team as a whole has an OPS+ of 138 vs. left handers (101 vs. right handers). Batting average is 45 points higher vs. left handers than vs. righties.

Love to agree but I'll believe it when I see it.

Here are the only stats that matter:

Reds are 4-9 vs the AL.

Reds are 9-8 against Lefties.

Reds are 19-20 on the road.

The W's tell the tale. If any pitcher on the roster could win tonight, its Cueto.

Dont get me wrong, I love the Reds and still root for them on a daily basis but they are stealing my soul!

You have. Not against Price, but against lefties all year long. They also had a better OPS+ vs. lefties last year, but it was close (3 point difference). Batting average vs. lefties was 10 points lower though.

I am not going to say they will hit Price well, but they have been hitting lefties well for the last year and a half.

To disagree once again, a left handed pitcher has no affect on how the Reds pitch. So no, W's do not tell the whole tale when you are talking about left handed pitching. Plus, 9-8 for a team 2 games over .500 tells nothing. In fact, 9-8 is a higher winning percentage.

Anyway, I am just making a point that the whole "oh no, left handed pitcher" thing no longer applies. Now, they do suck against the AL, and it is a road game. I am not refuting that those are negatives.
