curious, how would you guys rank our players on the team (best), been havin an argument with someone with him saying Stubbs is our 3rd best player, i had him at 5th

I assume you're talking position players only? Here's a wild stab without looking up any stats...

  1. Votto
  2. Bruce
  3. Phillips
  4. Stubbs
  5. Rolen
  6. Hernandez
  7. Heisey
  8. Cairo
  9. Hanigan
  10. Gomes
  11. Lewis
  12. Virtually any other SS imaginable
  13. Janish
  14. Renteria
Gomes is #10 with a bullet after his latest surge. Once they stop throwing him the straight ball again this little honeymoon will be over.

If you are just talking about the 40 man roster altogether my top 10 would be:

1. Votto
2. Cueto
3. Phillips - His defense is one of a kind
4. Stubbs. Strikeouts aside his value on the bases and in the field is top notch.
5. Bruce
6. Cordero
7. Rolen
8. Henandez - jury's out on how good of an everyday catcher he is.
9. Arroyo. He has his brainfarts but still reliable at least 2 out of 3 starts
10. Leake. Was thinking maybe Heisey here but he's not starting enough.

Just my .02

yea, sorry just position players, no pitchers...

this was mine (im sure many will disagree)

Votto
Bruce
BP
Rolen (still one of the best 3B out there defensive wise)
Ramon (actually in top 4 of reds players in many batting categories)
Stubbs (his K's really hurt him, and very undisciplined at the plate)
Heisey
Hanigan
LF

SS
