Until JR hit the wall in Seattle, he was the best all around player I've ever seen, period. Imagine if he'd taken the steroids and was able to play past his injuries. There'd be very little talk of Bonds or anyone else for that matter. Damn shame his body fell apart.

Yup.

As far as 2B and BP the two best all around I ever saw were Joe Morgan and Robbie Alomar. Two best passable glove/big stick guys were Kent and Sandberg. When healthy Utley is the peer group guy that I'd probably take over BP just in terms of production, maybe not, have to look at the numbers to be honest.

All those guys were obviously not on Skip Schumakers level but then again, who is? I'm keeping it to the realm of mere mortals.

Apparently Homer has been going to the Aroldis Chapman school of pitching.

At what point does Bryan Price start to be questioned about this? I can't recall anything like this, even with the lousy pitching this club had for the last decade-plus. I believe Ondrusek and LeCure have both walked the bases loaded in similar fashion too. Seems to me there's a common denominator.
