I think Cabrera should've kept his mouth shut...

Cabrera sour grapes after Halladay no-no

While Roy Halladay's no-hitter was almost universally lauded as a genius performance, one Red was not so quick to credit Doc. Orlando Cabrera thought home plate umpire John Hirschbeck had a lot to do with Halladay's no-hitter. "It was a bad combination with John back there," Cabrera said. "He gave him every single pitch. A guy like Halladay feeds off that. It makes it nearly impossible with a guy like that. He can hit every single corner, and he was low in the zone. He and the umpire threw a no-hitter. Another umpire and another zone, he wouldn't have been able to throw a game like that. Basically, he was getting every pitch. We had no chance." It should be noted that no other Reds player said anything like that.

Hate to say it but I agree with Cabrera. Granted the Reds werent going to beat Halladay last night but several at bats by the Reds were shortened and then finished with a questionable strike call to put Halladay in a very favorable count. Rolens at bat is the most memorable and he stated his displeasure with the ump afterward.

Regardless, these guys have to get after it. They cant be content with where they are. They have to want more and be aggressive in getting it.

Oh yeah, Philly fans are a fucking disgrace.
