Reds tidbits (2010 season)

That was the worst managed ninth inning ever. Why not put in Rolen as a defensive sub? Why not Janish? That would've ended the game regardless of the shitty pitching since those two guys gave away three outs on their own. Why was Lincoln still pitching? Why was Cordero out there? I'm not the one who makes $3 million a year to notice this kind of shit, yet I picked up on it and Teh Dusty does not. You can throw Masset on this fire too if you want, but the die was already cast when he got in there. If anything, Masset should've started the inning with Rolen and Janish in as defensive subs.

The saddest thing of all is that nobody outside of that clubhouse is surprised by this.

I'm reading RedsZone and people are actually defending Dusty over this.

I don't blame scrubs for being scrubs, I blame the idiot who left them in the game in the first place. Say what you want about poor execution - say what you want about how you shouldn't have to make defensive subs with a 6-run lead. Taking out Lincoln, Cabrera, Cairo and even Nix (Heisey) means a 6-run lead becomes a 6-run win.

This isn't fucking little league. The object is to win games, and you don't do that by letting scrub players close it out just to make them feel OK about themselves.

Not my place to say really and since I'm a Braves fan, I don't want to add gas to the white hot fire...

But is Rhodes able to go more than one inning? With the exception of Glaus/Prado...we don't have alot of RH power. Couldn't you let him pitch an inning and a third (or longer). He cleaned our clocks all series!

Not in Dusty World. Non-closers don't close. Closers close. Duh.

Not when Dusty Baker is the manager.

He has just entered into the group with Ed Hightower for me. If I ever meet either on the street, the jail time would be worth it. FUCK

He's 40 years old, and generally a 1-inning guy now. Even so, he only went 1/3 of an inning (Heyward) and was capable of finishing this thing.

Somebody else even predicted on RZ that Cordero was going to spit the bit. He's totally lost if it's not the most routine of save situations. Even then, he's been nothing short of an adventure this year.

They've had a lot of miracles go their way so far this year. You are bound to see some equally outrageous shit go against them.

(Dusty is a couple of brain cells from being declared legally retarded, no doubt about that.)
