I think the Reds should institute a rule when playing the Padres. If you walk Eckstein with no one on, the team gets line up and take turns kicking you in the nuts. The guy is slugging .331 with a batting average of .271. It's a small miracle for him if he hits anything but a single. There is zero reason to ever walk him.

My idea for punishment involves scotch tape and doing a Buffalo Bill impersonation but other than that I agree.

We should just call it the Eckstein rule and understand it applies to all no talent, punch and judy (mostly Cardinal's) infielders.

Thou shall not get beat by David Eckryansmaker.

Cardinals will probably lose to the Pirates tomorrow to ruin it for the Reds. Do they do champagne celebrations on their off day?

I was really hoping they'd clinch in a late game with Cordero on the mound for a win, then they could dogpile on top of the fucker. You never know ...

can't believe this is actually happening, even though they've played like shit the past 2 weeks, im sooo excited, i consider this my first playoff run with the Reds since I was only 7 in 1995 and didnt know what the Reds really were, I liked Barry Larkin, but couldn't name another player, I sort of remember 1999, remember watching the 1 game playoff. Just can't believe I will be watching Reds baseball in October!!

Go Redlegs!!!

I remember the Reds championship in 90 very vividly. Most memorable game was on a Friday night. Our football team was having our pre-game "quiet time" and everyone was piled in the library watching the game.

Been far too long to have more of those kinds of memories.

Love the way Chapman brought his game in the SD series. Hopefully Votto is healthy this post season and the others bring their A games. Reds fans deserve some good post season action.

Still one of the highlights of my sports fan life.

I was taking some classes at Wright State and remember running my ass off to get back to my dorm to catch the beginning of game one. I heard the eruption from the parking lot when Eric Davis hit the HR to set the tone for the series.

Damn good times.
