Reds Tidbits (2009 season)

Sorry, B. Phillips fans, but that guy gets a little too 'jacked' up when the big moments are on him.*

Almost fell over trying to swing out of his shoes.

*Probably a bit of hyperbole. I've seen him have his share of walk-off/big hits. Still, that was a bad at-bat. Tried way too hard to win the game with one swing and be the hero, though I guess it's better him than anyone else fuck it up.

That was a terrible job of managing tonight. Bring in soft tossing Weathers vs Pujols who is 9-18 against him? And how the hell do you justify pitching to Albert in in the 9th,then IBB .238 hitting Ludwick?

I can justify it easily. The manager is a fucking retard. What do you expect a retard to do, get it right? Thats why they call them retards, they fuck shit up.

I don't blame stupid people for being stupid. I blame the sonofabitch who hired them.

Also, this should drive H&G nuts, Dunn becomes the 5th youngest player in MLB history to 300 HR's.

Washington Nationals' Adam Dunn fifth-fastest to reach 300-HR plateau - ESPN

His company:

The 29-year-old is the fifth player major league history to reach that total in less than 4,200 at-bats, succeeding in his 4,145th at-bat. The others are Babe Ruth (3,830), Mark McGwire (3,837), Ralph Kiner (3,883) and Harmon Killebrew (3,928

Yep no need for a player like that on our team. Good riddance. :ohwell:
