And if they can't hit, even the better to handle his daughter. And he played center a few of those says too...Jaxbuck;1439476; said:Only if he was playing SS that day.
Dustyball 101:
The Dusty does not suffer base cloggers at the top of his lineup. SS, 2B and CFers are not basecloggers. They are fast (and if they are black, better equipped to handle hot weather than white guys).

This is the response to Alex Gonzalez getting hurt again?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the pulled the trigger and got some undetermined value for him - but to me it also only clouds the picture at SS since there are fewer and fewer bad options as the days go by.
Jaxbuck;1441314; said:Depends on who he was traded for but I know Houston has been shopping for a guy like Kepp so actually Kudos to the Reds for selling him off instead of sitting it out.
Kep is of no use to the Reds as SS becuase of his rediculous lack of range, he was a redudant part on this team now so I'm glad to see them send him along. It may not be much but its the right type of move.
Now if they could have included WT in the trade......
Reds to meet with Gary Sheffield about possibly signing

SARASOTA, Fla. ? The Cincinnati Reds have interest in outfielder Gary Sheffield and there probably will be a meeting with him and/or his representatives today at Ed Smith Stadium.
Sheffield, one shy of 500 home runs, was released this week by the Detroit Tigers. While he makes $14 million, the Reds could sign him for as little as the major-league minimum.
