Reds Tidbits (2007 Season)

Hey, the way our bats have been going with some of these guys I could see him moving the lineup around. The last two games we've put up some run support so now is when he needs to leave it the hell alone.

Even though he isnt the same player he was, this lineup needs Griff's bat in there. Who knows how many times he makes the pitching or other coaches change their game due to his ability to still beat you with a long ball.

How the hell does Dunn have 6 stolen bases already. That guys going to get 20 this year! Amazing.

Gonzalez continues to light it up and its a great addition to his glove.

I agree, even if the lineup is going to be one that looks like he picked it out of a hat at least keep it the same as it is every night...

As for Dunn he hasnt been caught stealing since 2005...

Indeed. It's nice to see somebody up there throwing some gas for a change.

Yeah he was throwing hard, mid 90's, had nice movement...You could tell he was a little excited as he was having trouble keeping the ball down, but you could see the movement, then after his walk he got the game ending double play...

BTW the guy we got in the Deno trade McBeth picked up the save for Louisville tonite, after Homer got the win...

The pitching in the minors has been nothing short of fabulous so far this season...

Ugh, we've sunk to praising the team for not blowing a 10 run lead? :!

Times are hard eh?

Salmon was definitely fired up when he came in there. A couple of 95mph fastballs at the eyes. When he gets that baby down by the ankles its going to be closer to 97mph. If he keeps it moving its near unhittable. We've definitely got some power in the bullpen now, they just have to learn how to harness it and pitch instead of throw.

Good to see Arroyo finally getting some help, you could tell by some of his quotes after previous starts that he was about to snap.

Also, I said as Dunn came to the plate with a 7-1 lead, "he's definitely jacking a three-run homer here." My friends and I like to joke that Dunn is the best hitter in the major leagues when the at-bat doesn't mean anything. But hey, you certainly can't complain with the guy's results so far, and that 6-for-6 on the base paths is awesome.

I think it's only a matter of time before Seabass comes back down to earth, I'm just hoping that by the time he does, Phillips and Encarnacion are on track, and they both seem headed that way.

We now run into the ultimate buzzkill tonight: Oswalt and his 17-1 record against the Reds. A W for us tonight would be big.

Just saw the lineup for tonites game...:!

So EE has been hitting the ball lately and he decides to sit him to put Freel in the lineup...Which I don't really like b/c I think that EE should be getting all the at bats that he can get, he is an everyday player...

Also he keeps Hatte in the 3 hole and puts Hamilton in the 7th...WTF is that, if anything put Hamilton in the 3 hole and Hatte in the 7th...Does he have any concept of the number 3 hitter should be a run producer...

1. Freel
2. Phillips
3. Hatte
4. Jr.
5. Gonzo
6. Dunn
7. Hamilton
8. Valentin

Its Oswalt, I really don't think it matters. The Reds have beat him once... ever.
