The recruiting forum here is really a great thing to behold. Here's one suggestion I have that falls in line with making a seperate subforum for commits.
At the end of this recruiting season i thought the new '07 recruits threads cluttered the board when all I wanted to look at was '06 guys. If subforums for future years recruiting classes could be created in advance, that would be great.
The other thing I noticed was that for some reason, my search of the recruiting forums isn't getting the results it should. Since I don't follow recruiting with tons of vigor, I often want to just check out who has offers. But when I search the recruiting forum thread titles for '07 Official Offer not all the guys that have offers show up (for example, that kid Berry from GA doesn't show up). It was the same way when I was searching for '06 Official Offer. Am I doing something wrong?
What do you guys think about including the following sub-forums in each year's recruiting forum: Committs, other school's committs, and officially offered guys. I think the officially offered guys subforum isn't really necessary ... if the search worked for me, it wouldn't have come to mind. Pretty much what I'm thinking is the recruiting board should be easily accessible to non-recruitniks who just want to check out some of the guys we've got committed, or to check out some of the guys we're targeting without really having to dig if it so happens that the recruiting team has gone to town and started 2 pgs worth of threads on guys that are just showing up on the radar screen.
Let me know what you think about these ideas. Even as it stands right now, this is the best place to get recruiting info on the web, much love for all the research and posting you guys do.
