RB/WR Curtis Samuel (Washington Commanders)

I'm Sure we'll have the pleasure of seeing both of them on the field at the same time. Now that'll be a fun sight

="RugbyBuck, post: 2619744, member: 533"]I have loved this kid since I first read about him running through Raekwon in practice. He runs hard and understands the need to accelerate INTO tackles. I think he steals some reps from Wilson this season.[/QUOTE]

As physical and dynamic as Samuel is in the run game, I always remember watching his film in HS and seeing a potentially elite receiver. Kid can catch the ball and once he learns some route running, he is going to be extremely dynamic as both a run and pass threat. Throw him in with Jalin, Zeke, Dontre, etc. is going to be unfair. But as to Samuel, I think you will see his production explode. As for position, I think he will be heavily involved with the RBs because I see him primarily there once Zeke (presumably) declares for the draft this year.

I'm remembering a song from the late sixties by the Fugs. Sounds like we could be experiencing this in September.

If Zeke were to leave, I could also see Weber(in theory as I have no clue how hell perform until he gets on campus) taking over the major RB reps, and keep Samuel at H back and backup RB, splitting with either Dunn or Ball. I honestly always saw Samuel as a change of pace RB, like a Deangelo Williams or Giovani Bernard type.

Kid is going to absolutely blow up this year. I think most Buckeye fans know this kid has talent but I don't think many realize his true potential in this offense. I think by seasons end he will be a household name around the country. I just keep thinking of all the offensive weapons on this team and how that helps spread the field. Defenses have so many things to worry about. Enter a flat out stud like Curtis who can hurt you in many ways (we will see his skills catching the ball this year) and I think it's just a perfect environment for him to blow up. I am more excited to watch him this year than any offensive player in the Urban era. I realize this rant is full of blue skies but I think most casual fans of college football don't know about him at all but everyone knows his name at bowl season. Look at Zeke last year. Most folks didn't know who he was until the last 3 games. Same goes for Curtis this year. I like how the Percy comments have really dropped off the last year regarding players on the roster but.........

Couldn't agree more with this; He showed up as a freshman and stood out in camp. He got on the field early and often and made plays all year long. Then he shows up in the spring before his sophomore year and people are blown away with how good he looks. We've seen this script before, and it usually plays out with the guy in question being a superstar.
