RB TreVeyon Henderson (Official Thread)

To his detractors, with him on the sidelines Miyan nor Chip could affect the offense in the same way. They are both very good complementary pieces, but Henderson is a true RB1. And I’d put Hayden in the same breath for being a #1 RB, but I don’t think he’s needed this year if all are healthy. The HR ability can make McCords life much simpler, especially since he’s such a great pass catcher as well

I see him like Robert Smith. Talent that we’ll not see fully. I hope he goes on a tear the rest of the year and we win it all. Whether he does or not, I’m pretty sure the rest of this season is all we’ll see from him. With enough time and health, I think he’d be one our all-time best, but we’ll never know.

Smith wasn’t as injury prone from what I recall. He also had the ability to get the tough yards. Helluva long strider.

In post game he was said he took a cheap shot vs Notre dame

He thought they gator rolled him after the tackle.
I went back to see, because I was curious as well. Looks like JJB tackled him short on 3rd and 1 (where we should have at least had a review because I think Henderson got the first on 2 plays before). Play starts at 5:05 in the 4th if anyone wants to go back and watch. I didn't see a cheap shot.

Don't watch the next play, though. It's a gd end around to the short side. :pissed3:

In the post game press conference he doubled down and said it was at the beginning of the Notre Dame game if that narrows anything down. Never said what the injury was though

That makes sense. I was assuming that was his last play when I posted. Chip was in on that terrible 4th down call. Then I wanted to watch the last drive because I like happy things. Henderson was the target for the first 2 terrible play calls of the last drive.....so who knows when it supposedly happened.

A while back I may or may not have posted that we were better off with chip as our starting rb...im a fucking idiot
Well you had plenty of company to be fair. Hendo has just been injured so much and we just have rarely got to watch him play healthy...when he does, he is an elite talent. If he's hurt, serviceable at best but shit that is better than most injured players.

Either way, he was 100% at Wisconsin and it definitely showed, so fun to watch. Hopefully he is full go at ttun, that is the game we will truly need him...the games before then not so much, so I wouldn't mind seeing much more of Miyan and Chip in those games to limit the risk of injury. My view is that the NFL knows what Tre can do when healthy and any game film against Rutgers, MSU, and Minnesota won't help or hurt him. Now ttun and on is a different story, so I think it is best for both sides to have less touches leading up to the end of November. And slowly bring back Egbuka so he isn't rusty against ttun.
