RB Sam Williams-Dixon (Official Thread)

This is a great move for Dixon imo, the step up in competition will be significant and he'll have a much bigger stage to showcase his talent. I do want to see how he fares at PN though, he's a talent but would we take him over either of Peoples or Marshall if they want in? Though that is far from a given, I think the answer is no for now until we have better reads on those guys (with Marshall currently trending away it seems). Regardless, looking forward to seeing Dixon's film at PN.
Well, OSU seems set on taking 2 for ‘24, and I can bet that Marshall and Peoples are in a different tier than SWD…

Oh for sure, 2 is the number and they're a rung up. But if we miss on either, it'll be nice to see SWD against better competition as we go after whoever our second guy would be in that scenario.

From the Dispatch, but found it on Yahoo. Don't think I have seen that he has a final three and an announcement date:

Ohio State was not the only school to see that potential in Williams-Dixon. His final three heading into an April 15 announcement are Kentucky and Penn State along with the Buckeyes.

Welcome to the fam Sam! What a weapon to add to the offense. I think his game will be used like a Deebo Samuel, I'd say Curtis Samuel, but his size is closer to Deebo's. And if it comes down to it, SWD can be 1 true position and still excel. Like Marlo said, "that's what of them good problems"

“It was like a dream come true,” Williams-Dixon told Eleven Warriors of his offer in January. “Just being a kid from Ohio, that offer meant a lot to me and meant a lot to my family. Buckeye Nation and people that live in Ohio just love the team, and I love it too. So it meant a lot. Any kid from Ohio dreams of playing for the Buckeyes.”

One of the main reasons OSU won the battle for Williams-Dixon's recruitment was the bond he and Alford formed. Williams-Dixon has said his relationship with a school's coaching staff was a top factor in his recruitment.

“I know a lot of people have been like telling me ‘Don't go to college for a coach,’ but like, that's what drives you there,” Williams-Dixon said. “Not just the college, the college is going to be there. But like that coach, the coaches there, the coaching staff, the players are going to drive you to that college. So the relationship, I'm trying to say, that's what is going to drive me to that place.”
