RB Miyan “Chop” Williams (Official Thread)

MIYAN WILLIAMS, RB
Sermon isn’t the only running back starting his career at Ohio State this week, as true freshman Miyan Williams is also among those who are enrolled in summer classes and participating in on-campus workouts now.

While Williams is only a three-star recruit, he’s a well-built back who has undergone an impressive physical transformation over the past year – he stood out just walking into the building on Monday – and was highly productive at Cincinnati’s Winton Woods High School. It would be a surprise if he saw substantial playing time as a true freshman, but this will be an important year for him to develop and try to establish a foothold on the depth chart before highly touted running back recruits TreVeyon Henderson and Evan Pryor arrive in 2021.

“I’m not going to lie, I get tired of talking about last year,” Alford said. “Good, bad or indifferent. I will tell you this, next year, I’ll get tired of talking about this class. But I will say this when you want to talk about last year’s class: Miyan Williams is a really good player.

“I’m really excited to have Miyan Williams in our room, in our group and a part of our football team. I want to make sure that is very clear.”

Good article on Alford's recruiting and a reminder not to get too upset (I fully include myself here) when one class doesn't go your way b/c the next one probably will. I really doubt we get both Henderson & Pryor if we still had Bijan and I bet those guys are all pretty even bets at the next level.

EXTREME MAKEOVER. We've all seen Miyan Williams' shirtless body transformation pics (below), but it feels a bit more real when he looks like a completely different human being even in street clothes.

I'm gonna be honest, I was quite skeptical when the beefy fellow who runs a 4.73 40-yard dash committed to Ohio State to play running back, but upon arrival, he looks nothing like the running back they initially committed – in a good way.

I'm going to need his workout plan to get my body right for my wedding, meaning I'll need the two-week version, please and thank you.

Just sayin': When the NCAA NIL program starts, I'd think this guy could legitimately get some fitness program endorsement deal.
