His vision and patience in the backfield is bordering on Clarett territory.
I don't know about all that
Vision and patience are fine, but lets not start comparing him to Clarett. Clarett was a beast as a true freshman. I like what i see from Weber, but I also think he is not as strong/powerful as I thought he would be. He seems to get stopped by hits I think he would break. Another year with Marotti will do wonders.
Did you watch Clarrett play in 02?
Ugh, then why isn't he a Heisman candidate?
Take a few....slow......steps back from the Kool-Aid Mr. Jones.
I know Clarett was a true Frosh in 2002. Was Robert Smith a true Freshman or a redshirt Freshman?
Edit: Not saying it diminishes Weber's accomplishment. Just asking...
There are now 3 freshman runningbacks to rush for 1,000 yards in school history. Maybe it wasn't koolaid I was drinking
I wouldn't break my arm patting myself on the back there man
He's a great player, no one was disputing that. Those other guys would have had similar stats in this offense as the lead back.
Uh-huh. All I ever did was compare his style to Clarett and I got a stream of you guys telling me how audacious that was. So I think I will gloat a little in how well he's played and I do think he's backed up my high praise. For the record, I never said he was better or even as good as Mo. But I could see he was ahead of the curve as a first year back and ran with the same aggression as Clarett once did
It's Hate week, I'm not going to argue with you about it
It obviously means a lot to you to be able to find a way to say "I told you so"...sorta.
Enjoy
If a guy is a Heisman candidate, he gets the ball in crunch time. Who got the ball in crunch time today, Barrett. There are now 3 freshman runningbacks to rush for 1,000 yards in school history. Maybe it wasn't koolaid I was drinking
Isn't that more because of the play calling and not the actual player? Barrett got the most touches in the offense yet we all know that Curtis Samuel is our best offensive weapon. In crunch time last year Barrett also got the ball, but Zeke was also our best offensive weapon and deserved the ball in crunch time as Weber and Samuel should've todayIf a guy is a Heisman candidate, he gets the ball in crunch time. Love the kid but still a freshman.
Because Samuel shares a backfield with him, and he gets all of the press. As well as JT as a rusher too. And I agree.Gotta be the quietest 1,000-yard rusher I can remember.
