Ok I went back and watched all of Mo Wells runs and a couple of other plays of his.
1. Went for 4 yds. and he missed the cut.
2. was the option run down by the goalline. Went for 4 yds and he was really running hard.
3. Next play from the 1 tried to power his way in but there was no push.
4. He looked kind of like Ross on this run, he ran straight into the back of line and got tackled. He could of cut it either way for a nice gain.
5. This was the play that was a very creative play call, we faked the reverse to Ginn and pitched to Wells. If Holmes doesnt let his guy go he is running for about 15 yds. He got 4.
6. This was a toss sweep with two pulling lineman and Stan white leading the play. White has his guy hooked and then let him inside and he made the play only 2 yards.
7. He next run was a downer. It was 3 & 2 and He could of got the first down going to where the play was designed instead Datish guy came underneath him from the backside or the cutback probably would of been there, this is one of those where he was just a step slow on the cutback.
8. Draw, best run of the day, he set his blockers up perfectly and had a nice run.
9. The very next play was the one I thought he could of broke for a big gain. He went playside ad tryed to cut it across the grain. There was no one over that way, but the frontside lb came shooting through the gap and made the shoestring tackle, if he makes that cut right away he is gone, instead no one blocks the frontside backer and he is tackled for no gain.
The play after that the option pitch was there for a big gain and Smith held on to it.
Overall he had a pretty good day. I can see him just running lose here soon. He reads his blockers well and has the speed and cuts to make guys miss. Once he is cutting just a split second sooner he is going to be elusive.
He can also picks up the blitzers very well. Mili if you could there is a great block by him with 11:03 left in the 3rd quarter. He completely flipped the d-lineman over.
Also Mili I was wondering what beddie-bye was :).
