RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

Not me. I see him being an architect. Why get a M.Arch. otherwise?
You do realize that many pastors also have careers/full time jobs? I'm not saying he has to have his own church, he could be a youth minister, an assistant, etc. I just see him doing something with the church, as he and his family are quite religious

If he's healthy I don't think his career is necessarily over yet. Guy has power and great straightline speed which can play a role. His vision is decent it's his lateral quickness that keeps him from being what he hoped to be. May still get a look with a great combine

At least he can be a bodybuilder or a model if this football thing doesn’t work out! He has the insane body of someone in a video game or cartoon
I’ve given his play a hard time while in S&G, just because he didn’t have the same level of talent is the guys in front of him. But I hope he can find a lane in the NFLand kick the injury bug. The measurables are all there to find some type of success:

Long rumored to have one of the fastest 40-yard dash times in the Buckeye program over the last several seasons, Teague ran an official 4.44-second 40 at the WHAC Wednesday. His 27 reps on the bench press and 10-foot, 11-inch broad jump were both better than any running back at the combine. All of those were the top marks of any Buckeye that participated in pro day testing.

I wonder what Master would’ve looked like at LB? He was just always really stiff at RB….I assume he will end up on a roster in NFL, as he’s super high character and I’m confident he can add value on special teams (something I don’t recall him doing at OSU).

I think he can actually make an NFLroster at RB. Rod Smith had a decent backup career in the NFL, and I think he and Teague are similar 1 step and go down hill type of players. Both poor man’s Leonard Fournette IMO

I think Teague will be one of those guys who is better in the NFL than he was in college. Have thought that for a long time. This pro day confirms my bias! Dude is a stud.

I’ll be rooting for him no matter where he ends up. So, please don’t get drafted by the Steelers or Ravens like every other Buckeye I say that about.

MASTER TEAGUE GETS DRAFTED

In most seven-round mocks out there, you’re not going to find Master Teague’s name on them. That’s not terribly surprising considering Teague essentially found himself demoted to Ohio State’s third-string running back by the end of last year in what turned out to be a disappointing season for the 5-foot-11, 225-pound running back from Tennessee.

His season was disappointing enough that he didn’t even get invited to the NFL Combine. Fortunately for Teague, he still had the opportunity to show his athleticism in front of more than 100 scouts at Ohio State’s pro day in late March.

He responded by running a blazing 4.44-second 40-yard dash and had a better performance in the bench press (27 reps) and broad jump (10 feet, 11 inches) than any running back that tested at the combine.

Sure, what a player shows on tape in college is half the battle of getting picked in the NFL draft, and the lack of playing time last season will hurt Teague this weekend. But the NFL draft is also about projecting what type of player someone can be, not necessarily what type of player they are now. I predict some team is going to fall in love with those unreal raw physical tools Teague displayed at pro day and take a late-round flier on him Saturday before all is said and done.

Just sayin': Master Teague is one guy that I'm really rooting for in the NFL draft. He's a great team player, student, and person. He came into Ohio State gave his best effort on the football field and in the classroom. He took the opportunity at Ohio State to have a good career after football too:

The Dolphins were terrible at short yardage last year to the point it was almost always Brissett coming in at QB to run sneaks except for 2 games that Duke Johnson ran like a man possessed. Then the Dolphins released him. In the later rounds like the 5th where the Dolphins have 3 picks, I wouldn't mind a flyer on Teague because we already know he's money inside the redzone and that's an area where Miami hasn't been able to run.
