RB Lydell Ross (official thread)

Did anyone else catch when Ross took a jumping tackle to the back, but managed to carry him on his back for 5+ yards? THAT was unbelieveble. If only we had seen today's Lydell Ross at any other time this year.

Which reminds me of a funny story. My roommate ends up in Lydell Ross's house after the Michigan game (in a drunken haze, of course...). Somone walks up to him and (no joke) says, "I'll give you 3 bucks and a pack of Now-And-Laters if you go up to Lydell and tell him his game is whack."

I kept looking at my family and asking if they were sure it was Lydell in that uniform. He hasn't run like that in 3 years.

Props to him. Glad to see him go out with a positive performance. Good Luk Lydell, in what ever you do.

As I sat in disbelief - I became very happy for Lydell that he went out with a good game.

Even though his career was mediocre AT BEST, I still found myself rooting for him even though I have had poor feelings towards him for some time now.

Congratulations to him.

I was shocked he got as much playing time as he did, but he earned it with his performance on the field tonight. It wasn't given to him.

I guess it helps to have a little confidence too. Having a line that keeps you from getting hit in the backfield makes a big difference.

Did you see his block on Ginn's spectacular 2 yard loss scramble? It was overshadowned by Zwick's crushing block on that D-Lineman, if you look closely about .5 second after Zwick's block #30 makes a good one also.

Maybe Mili will have it soon.

You love em when they're doing well and hate em when they're struggling...get a ****in life! That's why fans were always LAST on my list!

HAYN
I don't think it's a love/hate thing at all, it seems to me that everyone was glad to see Lydell do something productive on the field and they're giving him the recognition he deserves after a good performance in his final game. I don't see anything wrong with that. Lighten up a bit Hayn :biggrin2:

I saw it. Let out an "Ohhhh" for Zwick and then before I could really finish, "Ohhhh" again for the hit Lydell laid on dude - although Lydell's guy just stopped in his tracks but didn't go down. Still, was a good hit.

Hats off to Lydell. He played like we all wanted him to play all year long. It was nice to see that spark in him that I saw when he was a Freshman.

Lydell, way to put it all aside and leave your best for last. Good luck and thanks for your contributions over the last 4 years.
