RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

"Berry is very unique in his running style. He is much more like an SEC runner than anything else," Noon said.

I was thinking the same thing. It's nothing like the Big Ten style we're accustomed to. :roll2: Anyhow I can't wait for Berry to get up here and start shredding some defenses.:banger:

I wonder if there will be an announcement when he has officially qualified.
Two stages in qualifying, 1. OSU admissions office accepts him as a student, 2. NCAA clearinghouse officially clears him for D1 eligibility.
1. To pass admissions at tOSU SA will need transcript to date and ACT/SAT scores with application for admission, (ACT scores from the Feb. 7 test were received by students Feb. 17).
It usually takes the tOSU admissions office 2-3 weeks to receive the scores, compile the results, and notify the student of acceptance/admission for following school year.

2. The NCAA clearinghouse OTH won't officially act until the student has graduated, the high school is responsible for sending in the final transcripts and proof of graduation before NCAA officially clears them for D1 eligibility.

An SEC runner? Like a Percy Harvin, like a Knowshon Moreno, or like a Darren McFadden? What is an SEC runner, exactly? Just a really, really fast one who is just obviously more talented?

Dumbest compliment I've read in quite some time.

All that being said, I'm pretty excited to see what Jaamal can do, especially behind the offensive linemen that we've been recruiting..

The stereotype makes no sense.

Lsu has been the biggest sec school in recent years, at least I we're also talking rbs, and they have had bruisers. Holliday is a gadget play, not a rb, nor anywhere near a starter.

Bama has a monstrous power back.

This is the first year in a while that uf has any rb production. They've relied on a wr, and before that fiason was nothing that other conferences haven't seen.

Bryant is a speed back.
Moreno will not run faster than Pittman did.

Where are all of these jamaal berry's in the sec?

[sarcasm]Look, I don't know if you've been paying attention, but let me clue you in: the SEC is the fastest conference. They're fast. It's what they do. Hence, all RBs in the SEC are fast. Likewise, any RB that is fast is "like an SEC back". I don't think it's that hard to understand.[/sarcasm]

Brandon Jacobs (who was converted to LB at Auburn)
Julious Jones
Marion Barber
Adrian Peterson
Ladian Tomlinson
Marshawn Lynch
Reggie Bush
Willie Parker
