RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

Him and Hyde should be splitting carries imo.. but I don't think Tressel will do that since they're freshman but they definitely have more talent then Saine and Herron.

Hyde has less than 10 carries in his career...no way should he be splitting carries (as a starter).

Jaamal and Jordan have proven they are capable. Carlos hasn't shown much yet. You must be Carlos' dad or something.

I just think he'd be a good compliment to Berry, the quick burst with Berry then the near 240 pound bruiser to follow him up.

I could see that happening when they are both Seniors. Although Rod Smith may have other plans.

I absolutely love our runningback situation right now. For the most part, whomever's number is called is delivering. Saine in the passing game. Herron with some tough runs. Hall has seen "meaningful" snaps and performed well. Berry in the kicking game and mop up duty. Carlos even put together some nice runs this weekend. Then you have Rod Smith just sitting there. Dick Tressel must go to bed at night with a smile on his face every night.

And yes I agree, Life is good for dick tressel. Remember just 2 years ago, at USC, when we only had 1 scholarship running back available? Lots have changed..

I don't want to jinx anything, but Saine and Herron have "proven" to be pretty dependable in not turning the ball over. In time, the younger guys will prove they can hold on to the ball as well.

*I remember years ago a Freshman named Eddie George fumbled on the goal line which contributed to a loss to Illinois....that guy got his chance later on, and turned out to be a pretty good back!

I remember that game too. Eddie fumbled twice inside the 5 yard line during that game and one was run back for an Illinois TD. Basically a swing of 21 points, the two we didn't get and the one that they did. In that game, George lost a fumble at the Illinois' 4-yard line that was returned 96 yards for a touchdown. Later in the game, with Ohio State leading by 2 points in the final quarter, George fumbled again, this time on Illinois' 1-yard line. Illinois recovered the fumble and drove for the game winning touchdown.

This kid is EXPLOSIVE and always goes forward at the end of the run. Not sure if he knows all of his assignments and if he fumbles in practice, but he is the most dynamic RB on the team. I also liked the power and vision of Hyde too. What a problem to have. Go Bucks

Interesting that JT keeps talking about only having one ball and implying it is hard to run a kid like Barry with so many other options.

However, against IU Hall and Saine had precisely one carry between them.
