There will be at least three players from the Garden State, because as previously reported, safety Antwine Perez of Camden, N.J., committed to the Trojans on Wednesday over Michigan. He's listed as the 37th-best player in the nation by Rivals.com and joins linebacker Brian Cushing and receiver Dwayne Jarrett.
But Perez might not be the last Jersey native. Former Ohio State tailback Ira Guilford, who wanted to enroll at USC but could not get accepted academically, is attending El Camino College in Torrance with the intention of transferring to USC.
Guilford wants to play safety for the Trojans.
"He hosted me on my visit to Ohio State, so I've known him a while," Jarrett said. "There's going to be a lot of guys from New Jersey here."
