RB Ezekiel Elliott (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Pro Bowl, All Pro, Dallas Cowboys)

Stats do matter w/the Heisman. That's been gone over before -- it's all about the video game stats these days. Whoever has the most wins and most obscene numbers on offense tends to get it.

Not always true.

When Troy won it in 2006 he had 2,542 yards, and 30 TD. Brady Quinn had nearly 1,000 more yards and 7 more TD. Despite Brady having almost 3,500 passing yards in one season, McFadden placed above him with only rushing for 1,600 yards and 14 TD.

That season as we know the Buckeyes went undefeated until the NCG, while ND had 2 losses. This is why I say winning all your games can overshadow somebody outperforming you in stats.

I think you skipped this part:

Whoever has the most wins

EE had a good game against NIU. However, with about 9 minutes to go in the third quarter, down near the goal line, on 3rd and 6 yds. to go, he missed a huge hole to his right side that would have given us a first down, if not a TD. Could have really changed the complexion of the game. LOVED his leap over the DB though.

Even Zeke has been a tad off but you that's not surprising with how the offense has been. He missed, like you said, a huge cut back lane on a drive on a play (not sure if we're thinking of the same one) that he normally finds but instead ran Into a pack of players for 2-4 yard gain.

Everyone's calling for Zeke to have more touches.... Not me. I'd love to see him around that 20 carries a game aspect because with all the weapons around him we need people to stop keying on him as much. We need someone else to step up and explode onto the scene so that they stop paying attention to 15 so much because right now that's people's plan which is to STOP 15. Personally I vote for Braxton because he's been there before, he knows how to light teams up, he's explosive, and if we're going to become the offense we always knew we were going to become he's the one we have to get going (outside of the o-line just being decent). Take away those 5 extra carries he's averaging right now and give them to Braxton because 4 touches a game for Braxton is about 5 too few IMO.

We always talk about all the nasty skill players we have but IMO we truly only have two that NEED to see the ball every game and that's #1 and #15. Yes Marshall, Dontre, Samuel, and Thomas should get some looks (and they will) but if Braxton can step up and get more touches it'll only help Zeke down the road.
