RB DeaMonte “Chip” Trayanum (==> Kentucky ==> Toledo)

Eleven Warriors - Class of 2020 Official Visits

Official visit June 17th-19th (midweek)

Akron standout athlete DeaMonte Trayanum can play everywhere – linebacker, safety, running back. But Ohio State likes him at running back and understandably so. He ran for more than 1,300 yards and 26 touchdowns on just 106 carries as a junior in 2018. He has an extremely high level of strength and athleticism for a high school athlete, which has forced teams to quit pigeonholing him into the linebacker spot and opening their minds to recruiting him as a running back. That’s what he’s wanted to be for a long time, and, if the mid-week visit goes well for Trayanum, the Buckeyes could be looking at adding an underrated tailback as soon as July.

He needs to realize like a lot of high school two way players ... they need to go with the more natural positions ... LB is his more natural position you can even tell on film he makes plays without trying on defense ... longevity wise Defense is his key ... RB just looks appealing like so many kids think but RB is the most unforgiving position ... and secondly a lot of these kids take the high school success and think it carries over into major college football ... he won’t be running over and around 190lb LInebackers who run 4.8s right now he is bigger stronger faster and more athletic then the teams he plays once he gets to college and has DLineman weighing 60 pounds more chasing him down he will see the light
