RB DeaMonte “Chip” Trayanum (==> Kentucky ==> Toledo)

He was never going to be featured here.

All things considered it worked out for everyone involved

He earned this opportunity.

I wish Chip nothing but the best as he did everything he was asked at OSU.
Yes, not questioning Chip and all the amazing things he accomplished as a Buckeye.

Was asking the question to understand if the transfer was related to Chip wanting to be the featured back.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Not really. The staff at OSU, indirectly, showed him the door. They even stopped taking his calls. They obviously wanted new blood in the room, which is totally fine, but they kind of ghosted him without explanation and with it being his last year he wasn’t going to risk getting lost in the shuffle. And he got a pretty sweet NIL package from UK.

Chip Trayanum injury update: Mark Stoops reveals status of Kentucky RB vs. Ohio

Chip-Trayanum.png

Kentucky‘s presumed starting running back Chip Trayanum has missed the first three weeks of the regular season with a hand injury.

Ahead of Kentucky’s Week 4 matchup against Ohio, Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops gave a brief update the injury status of the Ohio State transfer.

“He’s not available this week,” Stoops said.

Just sayin': Chip Trayanum has been out longer than they originally projected. He's now missed 4 games.

Just as an FYI, don’t rule out Judkins returning….I thought it was gonna be a “1 & done” but I’ve heard they’d like him to be a focal point of offense next year and are going to try and sell him on it with a nice NIL package.

And to be fair….as much as I liked the 1-2 punch this year with Henderson, Judkins is a kid that gets better as game goes on with more touches. Think he wouldn’t mind a few million and a bit more run in 2025. As a mid rd pick in draft he’d leave $$$ on table going to NFL versus $2-3M for a senior season in Columbus.

And still have the 1-2 with the People's champ? Where do I sign?

Trayanum to Toledo. Back in Ohio atleast

So weird it didn’t work out for him. Averaged 6 YPC as a freshman and 5.2 as a sophomore. Then came to OSU and they talked about him like he was one of the best athletes on the team. Now he is at Toledo while the team he started for 4 years ago is in the playoffs.
