I don't see a need for that. I don't read any of the other boards so I don't have anything else to compare this to, but I think the discussion here has been levelheaded.

Besides, the "linked sources" in this instance probably contain as much if not more speculation and flying leaps to conclusions than half the posts in this thread.

My idea was only half serious.

I just laugh when I skim through this. Two sides of the coin for everyone. Either the sky is falling and their is a sh*t cloud coming. Or Beanie is not human and is going to lace it up and run for 300 yards on a top 3 defense.

That's a brilliant move on his part. We can't win the game if their QB has the longer thread. That's one of the keys to the game - after scoring more points and allowing fewer of course.

Whatever the case, Tress has to be game planning for the possibility Beanie will be out. I think even without Beanie, we have the personnel to make enough plays on offense and special teams that a victory is very possible if we play solid D and get stops on third down.

Of course Tressle would say he is questionable, otherwise USC would know what was going to happen.

USC needs 2 gameplans, one for if tOSU has beanie, and one for if beanie is not in the game because OSU runs it's defense a lot different without beanie. This also makes all the game phootage of previous games useless, except the Ohio game, however I think Tressle tried to hold back on that game on purpose so he wouldn't show much. So if Tressle said beanie is playing, that gives USC time to prepare for the game better, since they won't need two gameplans.

However if beanie can't play, we still have Herron, who did very good in the Ohio game.

I don't really buy that USC needs a drastically different defensive gameplan depending whether or not Beanie plays. I would think their gameplan would be to stop the run and make Boeckman beat them. Beanie just changes the odds of that gameplan being a successful one for them.

So what do you guys/girls think: Is Beanie going to play or will he sit out with that Toe injury?

I hope he plays and plays well.

Since my Gators are not playing at all, this is the main game I will be watching. I want no excuses from both sides and a great game.:wink2:
