RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Out for the season wouldn't be too good.

Although I'm hardly convinced. In fact, I deny it vehemently. To anybody who asks.

IF that were the case, then the 'Will Beanie come back for his senior year' vBet just got Chuck Liddell'ed.

Also, we might be pretty good next year. P.S. USC comes to the 'bus.

P.S.S. Schwab says, "Ohio State is a Locomotive, and USC is a mini-cooper. Ditka ain't lyin."

I've read quite a few places that Beanie is not only out for Saturday, but out for the season. Of course no real source was there, but what's the word?

Come on dude, take this crap elsewhere

No that is not the word.. a few pages back, JT addresses the media.. draw your own conclusions

My conclusion is this "foot thing" is going to linger all season, never fully healing until the bowl game layoff, at the earliest.

Anyone who has not watched the link to the actual presser a few pages back and who still has questions should just watch the link.

And then.... if you have questions

watch it again.

Things Tress did not say: He's done. He's out.

And pay attention... Doubtful... Given the choice between Doubtful and Probable, Tress took Doubtful based on the AM workout.... but he did not volunteer "Doubtful" when he was talking about Beanie on his own (Before Q and A). I am hardly surprised Beanie experienced pain after being off it for 2 weeks... Haven't we been hearing it's more of a pain management issue? So... what else did you expect?

And when ESPN reported Beanie was a "Go" let's also realize that TOO was taking words out of context....

I have little doubt Beanie will give it a go but I have a lot of doubt that he's going to be close to 100%. Our defense is really going to have to show up for this one.

Folks it's been known for a while that the ligaments near his big toe have been the "culprit". These types of injuries do not heal overnight and sometimes take a lot longer than you hope. I'm sure he'll try to convince docs and coaches that he can go (shoot me up), but how effective will he be? That's the real issue. We've practiced without him for two weeks and I'm sure Tress has prepared for being "Beanieless" quite a bit. This game does not lay in the hands of Beanie alone. We have many other issues that need to be spot on during this "Clash at the Coliseum" as they're calling it. We need to pressure Sanchez all night long and attack the ball attack the ball and attack the ball some more. We need to be perfect in the special teams area and we need to protect our quarterback to give him time. We need our backup RB's to run hard and with a purpose. We need to keep the USC defense on their heels with different plays/schemes and we can not turn the ball over! It's a tall order to ask but if we want to win this game that's what needs to happen.

If I'm placing a wager on this I'm betting he doesn't play. If he does he'll be VERY limited and practically a non-factor. Beanie is a special talent and he has a CAREER ahead of him so I'm saying he doesn't play.

We CAN win without Beanie! We can rest Beanie until Wisconsin if we have to.

I think there needs to be a deep breath taken. Whew! ALL must contribute on offense and defense. Its a team effort. I would love to see
Beanie pound the defense, but, not if its gonna cost us down the road. I remember someone saying, "The sun will rise on Sunday no matter what".
Let's see every buckeye play light out! Beanie or not......

Ew. I don't think I like that word very much.

Not sure why you quoted me because you're preaching to the choir.

Well coming into this week I've always thought it will be up to the defense as to how the game will play out. Either the defense will have a poor showing and USC will roll out 20-40 points or this defense will play to potential and play lights out holding them under 20. Sure we can win probably either style ball game but with beanie out I would want that USC point total to be under 20 because as we know USC is talented.

Also if beanie plays. Does anyone else see him being used situationally again like his freshman year? Such as short yard situations? I'd love to see that just for this game personally because we need to tire out that aggressive USC defense. THe more we keep them on the field the more they exert themselves when they blitz. Also keepin their offense off the field wouldn't be a bad idea neither.
